The second section of the Museum extensively illustrates the years of the dam’s construction, supported by historical photos, extracts from technical documents and details of the surveys that led to the discovery of the ancient landslide.
The visitor also discovers the economic and social repercussion that the construction of the imposing dam had on the entire valley.
The last image in this room is that of a thriving economic and tourist centre, destroyed by the disaster on the night of 9 October 1963.
